CZ BNB changed his avatar to X
Changpeng Zhao, aka CZ BNB in the cryptocurrency world, has done it again, and this time with the simplest of things: an avatar change on X. The ex-CEO of Binance replaced his avatar with his face wearing traditional Arab attire, and the $MUBARAK memecoin turned bullish.

What’s happening
This isn't a wardrobe makeover but a full-blown crypto extravaganza. Released some time on the 12th of March, 2025, $MUBARAK price went through the roof as a result of CZ's veiled endorsement, already registering a $178 million market capitalization. The coin got a Binance derivatives listing in a mere 48 hours of debut, solidifying the cliché that with memecoins, speed kills.
CZ, on the other hand, downplays his contribution, quipping, "People exaggerate my contribution… I am happy that I might have 'inspired' millions to learn a few phrases, too". On come on, however, within memecoin land, a wink and a smile from CZ go as far as a clever contract…
Consequences
The public has been absolutely over the moon with the changeover. Some speculate that the switch might be the new stimulus, bringing about creativity and even more on-chain activity. Others, more on the bandwagon, create parodies and memes that sweep across social media as quickly as wildfire.
Sure, it should be remembered that memecoins are as volatile as they are entertaining. $MUBARAK, all popularity aside, has drawbacks, including insufficient liquidity depth, that might make it hard for big holders to sell their stash without having a big enough impact on the price.
But for the meantime, the $MUBARAK gang keeps on soaring, proving that with a dash of humor and the right avatar, in crypto, you can go a very, very long way. Just make sure to do your own due diligence, and never put in more that you're prepared to lose – even when CZ is rocking a new look…
